Change icon for IE links

In XP Home using IE6, how do I change the 'default' icon that is created on
the desktop when I drag a URL to it? I know how to do it individually for
each shortcut, but I would like to change the default icon into another icon
that XP will automatically use for these URLs. Is that possible?

You might try the free ActivIcons utility from
http://www.cursorarts.com/ca_ai.html - I haven't changed this icon on
my own system, so don't know if it works. But it is one of the
selections.

- return address is altered slightly to reduce spam.
