change directories

Lately, I have not been able to change directories while in word. When I
click File and Open; I wait for the Open dialog box. When I try to change to
any directory, the propgram freezes and I must either reboot, shut-down or
click ctrl-alt-delete to close to end task in the Windows Task Manager. I am
using Windows 2003. This has been going on for the past week. No other
program seems to have this problem. I have been forced to use Word Pad to
open Word documents then I have to save them in another format. Any
suggestions?

If you aren't comfortable with editing the Windows registry yourself, then
go to http://www.kellys-korner-xp.com/xp_tweaks.htm and scroll down to Item
No. 383 "Hewlett-Packard's Share-to-Web software - Fix". Download and run
the script to automatically modify your registry as described in KB918165.
You may need to temporarily disable your antivirus program in order to run
the script.

A revised version of the update is supposed to be released on Tuesday, April
25, to fix these problems.
