change default settings

When I open a folder it displays the contents as tiles. I
want to view the details so I went to the standard buttons
toolbar and then clicked on the views icon and selected
details. But when I reopened the folder the view had
changed back to icons as it is obviously the default. Is
there anyway of changing this?

Thanks

Hi Fergal

In Windows Explorer - View>Details - then go to Tools>Folder Options>View and click on 'Apply to All Folders'. Re-start Windows Explorer.

Maybe the problem is due to folder settings being limited to 400.

Increase Folder View Options Limit: (Line 2)

Save Settings on Exit (Line 54)
