Change computer name and sid

We are ghosting our computers in the lab quite often. How we can change
remotely computers name, change the sid to the same it had before the
ghosting? We will avoid joining the same computer to the domain again.
We run Windows 2000 pro on clients.

ISTR that you need to use the Ghost utility called sidwalker to achieve this

hey given I've inadvertantly tried for years to get BSE from all those cheap burgers here in the UK
its a wonder I can recall anything ;o)

But how to do it automatically. First get old SID. Than ghost computers
and than use ghostwalk to change to the same old SID
