I have a document where some paragraphs have green shading/back ground color.
I would like to change it to normal i.e no shading. the color is not changed
by shading, fonts options. Any thoughts?

It might be Highlighted -- in Find > More > Formats, search for
Highlight and Replace with No Highlight.

Press Alt+F9. If this shows the shaded text as a field (INCLUDETEXT, for
example), then Alt+F9 to toggle back and go to Tools | Options | View and
set field shading to Never or When selected.

You're beyond me -- there are things like "Background" and "Text
Boxes" that I've never used that maybe could get involved. Someone
else will chime in now ...
