Change Boot/System Drive Letter

I have XP Pro installed on a striped RAID set of two disks. For some
reason the logical system disk was not set as the C: drive on install,
and this is causing me problems with some programs that have
hard-coded references to c:\ directories. Is there a safe way to
change the drive letter on my Boot/System drive to C:, and/or is
this likely to screw up other things installed on the logical
system disk?

You may only use the letter assigned to it during installation. You want
a different letter, you must reinstall.
