Change Boot Drive Letter

I had to reinstall W2K Server and in the new install, C: became F:. Is there
a way to change F: back to C:? In compmgmt, it does not let me change the
driver letter due to the fact that it's the boot drive. Thanks.

You can't change that, it's the one drive for which you cannot reassign
drive letter. You will need to live with it or reinstall W2K Server.
If you decide to reinstall, exit the installation process after you
delete/create or format drives then start the installation again, that
will avoid drive letter assignment mix ups or surprises like you have
experienced.

What is that document and utility?

John
I felt so uneasy with a W2K installation without C drive that I changed
F back to C this weekend according a MS doc and wrote a small utility to
globally update all relevant F drive references to C in registry. Now I
have my C drive back and will keep my finger crossed... :p

Thanks.
