Hi folks,
My problem may be the result of something "buggy" in the affected document (several users over a period of time) but I'm sure someone out there has an ingenious solution!
I have inherited a document. It's a rather a long and complex one that is updated and reissued periodically. A number of changes have been made recently requiring an update to the table of contents. The TOC has particular (manual) formatting and so all I want to do is update the page numbers only. When I press F9 I *do not* get the usual dialog box giving me the choice of updating the entire TOC or page numbers only ... as a result it refreshes the entire TOC and messes it up. I've tried everything I can think of, everything looks normal, the styles TOC1, TOC2 etc. are OK.
Save my sanity someone. Please!
Best, Sharon.
