For several months, I've been running the built-in W2K CA for SSL connections into OWA and all has worked well. Yesterday, after rebooting my server, I noticed that the certificate service will no longer start. I get an app and system log event stating that the certificate database is damaged and unable to start. I have searched all of the MS KBs to no avail. I can see my certificate and it appears to be fine. If I make a remote SSL connection to OWA, it does work. But I cannot start the service, which makes no sense. I don't have a good backup, so I cannot restore the c:\winnt\system32\certsvc directory. Can I create a new, empty database or are there utilities to repair the old database
Thanks.
Thanks.
