Certain web sites, and certain actions in IE freeze it so it has to be
killed in the task manager. www.cancer.org/ is one, and when I clicked on a
link in a MoveOn.org survey it froze.
This feels very similar to a problem I was (and am again) having in Outlook
Express and Word, where clicking on a URL link causes the application to
freeze - requiring that it be killed in Task Manager. I got a cure for that
in the OE newsgroup, but the problem returned the next day, either spyware
or anti-spyware, I'm guessing. Hard to test, though.
Anyway, the advice I got in OE no longer works, and now I see that IE is
involved. Can anyone suggest a repair?
I've tried running regsvr32 on the following, no luck. urlmon.dll.
Shdocvw.dll
. Msjava.dll
. Actxprxy.dll
. Oleaut32.dll
. Mshtml.dll
. Browseui.dll
. Shell32.dll
