how do I fix:

my CD/DVD drives don't read my CD'S any more.

when you click on the D: drive icon the first time
it will open and you can see the contents inside.
but have to manually install.
then after you remove the CD
and you put another CD in the drive. .
it still has/shows the files of the last CD that was inserted, and will not
show the contents of the 2nd CD. weird!
it will only read that 2nd CD after a restart/boot.

it is suppose to open and or install a program, also gives a choice box and
it don't no-more.
can you help.
thanks
cheers

Normal with windowxp in its early days. Make sure you
have all the patchs for the operating system install from
WindowsUpdate. I belive this problem will be fixed in
WindowXP Service Pack 2. Its more of inconvenience then
anything else.
