CDROM security

Can anyone tell me which, if any, registry keys affect CDROM security
on Windows 2000 Pro and XP Pro?

Thanks,

I administer a small LAN - about 30 workstations. I am getting "access
denied" errors on a couple of them. I can post the whole error
message if necessary - part was "you do not have permission..". There
is nothing wrong with the hardware (the CDROM drives have been
replaced, and will work from DOS and bootable CDs).

On one of the computers even the administrator has this problem. On
the other, the local administrator does not but everyone else does.

I made some changes to GPO regarding CDROMs a few months ago -
restricted permissions to locally logged on users only. I have since
removed that. That was all some time ago - I doubt it has anything to
do with this, but mention it FWIW.

I figured the permissions or other registry settings on those
computers might be a good place to look for something amiss - anyway
I am out of other ideas!

Did that - did you see the post? Was I not clear?
