CD tray won't open

I can't get my CD tray to open. I'm not sure if there is a CD inside that
might be jamming it shut, but if I click on eject nothing happens and if I
manually press and release the tray tab nothing happenS. Any thoughts?

Try this...

Open My Computer | Right click your drive | Click Eject.

Then try this...

Straighten a paper clip, push the straight end into
the little (I mean small) hole on the front of the CD drive, there
will be a bit of resistance. Keep your hand out of the way. You
might consider doing this one with the computer turned OFF.

unfold a paperclip or large safety pin. there is a little hole on the face
plate that you can insert the wire all the way in and manually push the
slider out.....

Most CD drives have a very small hole in the front of them, and if you
straighten out a standard paperclip and stick it in there, with a moderate bit
of pressure the drawer will open.
