cd size altering

i have recently aquired some 800mb/90 min CDR discs but
my CDROM wont pick up the size of the disc saying it is
only a 700mb disc HELP?

There may only be 700MB of usable disk space as the rest
may be used for directories or loading programs like UDF
to read them. good luck.

Older drives will not recognize 800MB CD-Rs. Your best chance is to see if
a firmware upgrade is available from the manufacturer of the drive.

What software are you using - some (including I am pretty certain the
inbuilt burning system of XP) does not know that anything above 700MB/80
min exists
