CD-RW will not write using Windows Explorer copy/paste

Everything was fine but all of a sudden I am unable to write to my CD_RW
drive. I have tried CD-RW disc, I have tried CD-R disc.
What is confusing is that I had a Photoshow program that was able to write
to the drive. My Quicken program is also able to write to the drive. Why
can’t I use Windows Explorer to Copy/Paste Data files to a CD? I thought the
Photoshow program I installed might have been doing something so I
uninstalled it and re-started the computer, but that did not fix it. My
system restore won’t find a restore point.
I have not wanted to get into the Regedit.exe business if I didn’t have to,
since I am not a computer pro. Any suggestions?

Are you unable to write to CDs or are you unabled to copy/paste to CDs? The
functionality of copy/paste and drag/drop was restricted for security
reasons in MS04-038.

I cannot send to the CD-RW. I cannot copy/paste or drag to the CD-RW.
However my Quicken program writes to the CD-rw and Photshow also wrote to the
CD-RW.
I went into Regedit and followed the instructios.(previousley Q316529) I
had a number 3 in my CD-ROM and a Number 2 in my CD-RW. I changed the 3 to a
1, but that made no difference.
In the instructions it states MY Computer and "under devices with removable
storage". I don't have that option. I right click on my CD-RW but no
Recording tab is displayed.
I was thinking of changing the top CD to a 2 and the bottom to a 1 or 3, but
I didn't have the guts to mess with something in the registry like that. I
was wondering if they got reversed and the top one is the CW-RW which has a 1
now but had a 3 before. I haven't tried it with a 2. This drive has worked
fine for two years.
Now how would I check on another ability to write to the CD-RW without
copy/paste or send to. Once I have a CD-r in the drive and just click on the
drive, I get the message E:\ is not accessible, Incorrect function.

I have Disc copier on my desktop and it allows me to copy a CD, but Roxio Cd
creator does not work.

I'm Sorry, I do not understand what to do with the information you have
supplied. Looks like Greek. I copied and pasted and not sure what to copy and
paste for the information. What is Nero 6?
