Cd/DVD drives in my computer

I have LG cd-rw & DVD-rw drives installed ,but my computer lists them both as
cd drives. Is this normal or can i fix this. Reason being that the auto start
on the DVD drive will not recognise Power DVD as its autoplay handler?
