CD/DVD drivers not loaded after SP4 upgrade

Upgraded to SP4 and now my CD and DVD devices show up
under Device Manager with "This device is not working
properly because Windows cannot load the drivers required
for this device. (Code 31)" and cannot be seen by any
applications.

Rolled back to SP3 and the problem still exists. May be
coincidence that they stopped working AND I upgraded at
the same time, but I think not.

Anyone else with this experience?

- are you/were you using Adaptec Easy CD Creator?

Fabio,

I tried both methods and after removing the keys and Media
Player 9.x, my drives are back and working fine. I'll
reinstall Windows Media player and report the results here
for closer on the case.
