cd-dvd driver

i have just brought a new dvd driver and conected it to my computer but it
dosen't seem to show up on my computer . do i ned a disc to install it or the
internet as i dont have internet . wot can i do ?????? plz help

Hi,

Make sure you have connected it to your computer correctly. Describe how
you have done that. Follow the directions exactly. Also, be aware that
there are several different types of CD/DVD-ROM drives. Internal IDE, SATA,
external USB, firewire, etc. It's helpful to know what type of drive you
have.

You likely don't need to do anything to enable Windows to recognize the
drive, providing you have connected it correctly. Does it appear in Device
Manager? Post back if you need additional information.
