burn another set i got a little window mesage "F is not accessible ...
incorrect function" That happens when i try to open a writable window for
the CD...but the drive will let me open a CD that already has been written
on and i can burn to a blank CD...any thoughts?? Thanks in advance for any

Wow, you waited almost two hours before blurting out your problem to
the world again.

Impatience is not well regarded or rewarded here.

No help for you, I'm afraid (in more ways than one).

Its a recent bug that Microsoft has introduced with one of their
patches that gets applied. The patch that ruined my CD Burning
abilities seems to be dated December 2003 or January 2004.

I've found though, that if you log of and then log back on, the
CD Drive resets itself. This is really annoying, but I've posted
things back in January about it and still see an occasional post
pop up here about it.

I know this isn't much help, but maybe someone more familiar
with the file that was replaced will step in and provide some
help. I think we're going to end up with a real long wait though.

Microsoft did it with a recent patch and thats about all that I
know. On the other hand there are several files in:

C:\Windows\System32\drivers that are used to write to CDs.
Some of them have CD in their name. I know this is real
weak, and I'd be happy to try to track this down, but I'm out
of time.

Good luck. I'll be watching to see if anyone else happens to
know which files are used in the CD writing process, or if
anyone knows anything at all. I've been waiting sense January
and I'm happy to wait until December. ;-)
