CD Burn/shellexecute no soap

Thanks Steve for the reply,

I tried both ways of doing it with the new auto run script.
1. First I double checked tools/page options/authoring to make sure it was
still set to none.
2. In Frontpage burned the CD publishing from local to remote. Remote being
the DVD/CD RW drive with the new Notepad script inside the root directory. I
still got the autorun window scanning the contents of the CD in the upper
left corner, and then the menu window asking me what I would like to do with
the CD.
3. I then sent the folder containing the site and the Notepad file outside
of the folder both to the DVD/CD RW drive. Same results.
4. The syntax for the auto run script was as you said:
[autorun]
shellexecute=Presentations\index.html
5. I also burned 2 more CDs using steps 1-3 so 4 CDs total with a slight
tweak to the script. I used .htm insted of .html. Still the same results
whether I used .html or .htm.

I have Win XP on 3 of my computers and each one has IE 6.0. I tried all 4
CDs on all 3 boxes but they all did the same thing. I know there has to be a
way of doing this becuse you see auto starting html presentations all the
time. Any other suggestions would be much appreciated.

The autorun file is named: Autorun.inf correct??

It needs to be on the CD as a stand alone file outside of the web folder.

Was one of the options in 2 and 3 to open the index page??

What I normally do is publish to a folder and then simply burn the folder,
not publish to the DVD

Yes that was the problem. I discovered befor I saw your post the the autorun
file has to be autorun.inf and not a plain Notepad.txt. However I found a
really cool program that takes all the finger gymnastics out of some of the
more advanced scripting such icons and so forth. Check out this site

It has not only a .inf editor but a lot more. Thanks for your time and
comments.
