CD and DVD drive messed up.

i recently downloaded insektors and the Daemon tools
emulators to play backed up cd's. After doing this, my cd
and dvd drives are no longer detected by the system, i
have already uninstalled both and still dont have
functioning drives, i hope somone can help me. And
someyimes my dvd drive is detected, but it always asks
for a cd to be put in.

Have you tried to use the restore feature to roll back the OS prior to the date before installing insektors and the Daemon tools
