ccLogviewer error message

I have not been able to open a report on my NAV 2003. I keep getting an
error message. Here is the results from running Hijack this. I was
wondering if anyone can see if the results show why the common client viewer
won't open. I have scanned my PC many times with NoAdware v2.0, and it
didn't pick anything up to resolve it. I have also uninstalled and
reinstalled NAV with no success. Here is the log from Hijackthis. Please
let me know if it shows anything that may be causing the problem. Thanks,
Jenny

Does having the NoAdware program have anything to do with the problem I am
having with ccLogviewer?

Jenny don't post HijackThis logs here. There are specialty forums for that:

I appreciate the additional information from the responses, but I am still
looking for the cause of my problem with the ccLogviewer. Should I assume
that when your question is not answered, that no one here can help me. I
have seen others with this problem, but couldn't determine a solution from
the responses. I would like to chat with Kelly. I went to the google search
for ccLogviewer (like she recommended to Judy), and didn't really find
anything specific. I just noticed sites where Hijack logs were posted and
being analyzed. I hope someone understands my delima and can point me in
some direction.

The solution - or the next step - suggested in the responses you got was
that you go to the sites Rock gave you and post your HijackThis log
there. From your description of your problem in your first post, we can
surmise that you have malware of some kind on your computer, including
possibly a virus. You need to clean up your computer. If NAV is broken,
you may have a virus that disabled it, or you may not have kept your
virus definitions subscription current. Here are cleanup instructions
for a machine where a virus has disabled av, which includes spyware
removal steps:

1) Take the infected machine off the Internet and any lan immediately.
2) From a different, clean machine download Stinger
(http://vil.nai.com/vil/stinger/) and run it in Safe Mode. Stinger is a
limited virus checker, but its advantage is that it is standalone and
doesn't need to be installed.
3) Hope that Stinger cleans up the machine enough to be able to
reinstall your av or install a new, current one. Update its definitions
and do a full scan.
4) Continue the cleaning process by removing any spyware with Spybot
Search & Destroy (http://www.safer-networking.org) and Ad-aware
(http://www.lavasoftusa.com). These programs are free, so run them both
since they complement each other. You may also want to run CWShredder
and HijackThis from http://aumha.org/freeware.htm. Although CWShredder
is no longer being updated, it will still clean older variants of the
CoolWebSearch malware. A combination of HijackThis and About:Buster
(http://www.majorgeeks.com) works well in removing homepage hijackers.
Be sure to update these programs before running them. Always read the
instructions before running a spyware removal tool. It is best to run
antivirus and spyware removal tools in Safe Mode.
5) Make sure you are running a firewall.
6) Go to Windows Update and apply all security patches for your
operating system. Do not install drivers from Windows Update.

If you have already run removal tools but are unsure of how to use them
or what to remove, you might do better to take your machine to a good
local computer repair shop (not a BestBuy or CompUSA type of store) and
have them clean it for you.

Good luck,

Malke

Thanks for your response. Most of the stuff you recommended, I probably don't
have any business doing because I'm not that experienced. So I will take it
to my "computer guy"

You're a smart woman, Jenny. It's very intelligent to recognize when
it's a better course of action to pay someone else to do a job. Good
luck to you.
