Hi All,
I cn't shut down or restart win xp until I go to task manager and close
ccapp.exe, which is associated with Norton System Works and it's auto
protect feature....any ideas on how to fix ...I've explored all preference
settings and can't seem to find problem.

Hi!DJM!
ccApp.exe is the common hosting application that is used by both NAV and
NIS. It is responsible for calling the different program features in NAV
and NIS. For example, in NAV, if Auto-Protect and Email Scanning are
enabled, then ccApp.exe makes sure that those programs are running. If
ccApp is disabled, then Auto-Protect and Email Scanning will not run.

Hey, Wondering if you have determined how to resolve
your problem.... I have a simular in that I cannot
enable my AutoProtect feature within Norton....

Uninstall and then reinstall the program.
