I've finally got round to uploading some of the photos Becky took whilst we went for a walk outside our house. It's just on the edge of Manchester, and a regenerated area from old canal buildings to apartments and pubs. Some is a bit yuppyish, but the rest is lovely :D

 Great photos :)
Love the barge on the canal :)
I've definitely got to do the canals one day
Thanks Ian :thumb:
Anymore?
I'd love to see some from around the city :)
Even the most ordinary things over there look very cool from here
& seeing all the old buildings is quite spectacular,
we just haven't been around long enough to acumulate any significant architecture so even the shop fronts & the like downtown look very cool

Lovely pics, you've certainly got an interesting view from your windows. Wonderful sunsets too.

Is that skyscraper (shown in the gallery pics) the huge new building that has been in the news recently? (The one that "whistles" when the wind blows around it?) There is quite a contrast between that and the older buildings, makes for a really good photo, doesn't it. :thumb:

Bravo! I love those shots! I especially like mixed lightning images taken at dusk in the city as it gives character to the place and adds a lot of colour for the onlooker. :thumb:

I've got some better ones somewhere, the day those pictures were taken (apart from the sunset one - that was just from our lounge) it was a bit nasty weatherwise.

I will ask Ian to hunt them out while I'm at work :)

Its 180 degress behind where the photo is taken from, perhaps 400m away :)
