Capitalizing the first word in a line

How do I shut off the recommendation to capitalize the beginning letter in every line of my letter? Often, this is NOT the beginning of a sentence but a carryover from the previous line. If someone could help me with this, I would appreciate it. I find it very annoying.

Pam,

You can turn it off with Tools>AutoCorrect
Options>AutoCorrect and uncheck "Capitalize first letter
of sentences."

That said, Word only capitalizes the line because you,
perhaps unknowingly, have passed instructions that you
have started a new paragraph. Since new paragraphs start
with a sentence, Word capitalizes.

You pass this instruction when you press the "Enter" key.
Unlike a typewriter which simply moves the the next line
with a carriage return, "Enter" instructs Word to move to
the next line "and" start a new paragraph.

Normally you should just keep typing and let Word
automatically wrap continuing sentences to the next line.
If you need a "line break" say for entering addresses then
use Shift+Enter.
