Can't view all the video effects or video transitions

Hi there,

I've come across a wee problem on some of my PCs. On some PCs I can see all
the effects i.e. Blur, Ease In, Brightness, Increase etc but on other PCs I
can only see a couple fo effects.

I tried searching the PC for the files but can't see to find them, thus I
now think they are in cab files or something like that. I was simply going
to copy and paste them into the PCs that didn't have them.

Has anyone ever came across this before and if so how can I go about sorting
the issue of not being able to see all the effects on Movie Maker - I'm using
Movie Maker 2.1.4026.0.

Thanks in anticipation,

Tony

Hi John,

Thanks for that info. I have noticed that if I login using an account with
administrative privileges all the effect etc. are there but if I login using
a standard user account with some restrictive group policies in place the
effects aren't there.

From reading your links I think you have cracked it as it being permissions
related in the registry.

I'll continue to work at it and hopefully I will get there!

Thanks for your help!

Tony
