Can't use Send To with program

I installed Office 2003 including Outlook. I don't want to use Outlook as the
default program so I uninstalled it. Now Windows Mail works as the default
unless I want to use Send To in the browser to send a page by email. The
page by email and link by email are grayed out so I assume it is still
looking for Outlook. The default settings in tools/options are grayed out.

Open the Default Programs applet, which you can access either from
the Start menu or via the Control Panel, then click the first item:
"Set your default programs."
After a few seconds, a list of programs comes up. Click on Windows Mail.
If it doesn't respond with "This program has all its defaults" then fix it by
clicking on the option indicated by the first green arrow.

Gary,
That didn't do it. All three defaults for Windows Mail are set correctly,
but the send by page and link items are still grayed out. Is there a way to
repair IE or WM?

Thanks, Dave

Repeat the Default Programs procedure I gave you earlier,
except click on Internet Explorer instead of Windows Mail.

If that does not fix it, open Default Programs, select "Associate a
file type or protocol..." When that finishes loading, scroll all the way
down to where the Protocols section is, then see which programs
are assigned to the MailTo protocol and the HTTP protocol.
It should be Windows Mail and Internet Explorer, respectively.
