Can't switch users

When I switch between users (fast) I get the welcome
screen and can select another user and am prompted for
password, but, then, after I hit return, I get switched
to a blue screen with a windows logo (not the blue screen
of death) and am frozen. Ctrl-alt-del does nothing and I
have to cold boot to restart.
I've been using XP-PRO succesfully for some time and
installed SP2 when it first came out. No problems with
that either.
But yesterday, after creating a system restore, I updated
to Windows Media player 10 by way of Windows update and
then added a few Office 2003 add-ins. After I started
getting this problem I rolled back the updates but still
have the problem.

Go to Start/Run and type in: services.msc
Scroll down to Terminal Services and make sure it is Started.

I had the same problem. Kelly's Line 34 solution fixed it for me. Thanks
Kelly! After SP2 update, FUS stopped working.

I have a fast user switch problem that I'm troubleshooting. I CANNOT START
Terminal services. I get a window "ERROR 1083: The executable program that
this service is configured to run in does not implement the service"
