can't sign out

When I try to sign out of Passport or XP Newsgroups or Hotmail, I get an X
beside all of the groups and I can't sign out. I keep hitting try again, but
it doesn't work. Any ideas as to what is wrong?

I think you need ActiveX enabled.

Look under Control Panel => Internet Options => Security tab => Internet =>
Custom Level for disable ActiveX options.

I set them to Prompt or Disable, depending on how dangerous they can be.
