Can't share stuff on large network.

Hi,
I've got XP Pro and I'm on a LAN with about 200 people. I
connect the the internet etc through the LAN. I can get
stuff from other people's computers, I can play LAN games
against people. Everything seems to work EXCEPT -
When I share a folder people on the network people can't
get to it. They can see my computer but can't connect to
me. For some it says they don't have permission for
others it actually asks for a password (which I haven't
set). I've turned the GUest account on in the users bit
of control panel. When I share the folder I set the
permissions for Everyone.
Any ideas? I basically just want to share stuff that
everyone else can access. Thanks

Sound like your on a domain. you might want to add the
users from your domain to your local pc

Thinking out loud

Not on a domain - definetly a workgroup. Unless a
workgroup can be on a domain at the same time? (I'm not
real good with networking). In my network setup workgroup
it definetly ticked and domain isn't. Any other ideas
what might be wrong?
btw - most of my mates can share stuff and they haven't
added specific users or anything. They just go in and
share it as if we were on a little LAN or something.
