Can't Send - Unknown Error - Outlook 2000

I'm using MS Outlook 2000 SR-1 on a MS 2000 OS.
It lets me receive and type up the email but when I press send it brings up
the
following message:

The message interface has returned an unknown error. If the problem
persists, restart outlook.

I've been getting this error only recently and can't seem to find anything
on the web to help.

Pretty Urgent!

Thanks

One of the classic signs of the pst file being too large in the Office (Outlook) 2000 environment. How large is your pst file at present .

I'm researching for a client, and that's kinda what I thought as well. If it
is too big, what needs to be done to fix the situation?

Thanks a lot everyone.

Did you ever define an e-mail account in Outlook?

Oh really. How about a Google search, like
http://www.google.com/search?q=+outlook++"message+interface+has+returned+an+unknown+error",
or using Microsoft's support knowledgebase, like
http://support.microsoft.com/search...sage+interface+has+returned+an+unknown+error?
