cheryl

I still cannot send emails with error message as follows:
The message could not be sent. The authentication setting might not be
correct for your outgoing e-mail [SMTP] server. For help solving this
problem, go to Help, search for "Troubleshoot Windows Mail", and read the
"I'm having problems sending e-mail" section. If you need help determining
the proper server settings, please contact your e-mail service provider.

The rejected e-mail address was '(e-mail address removed)'. Subject 'trst',
Account: 'Windows Mail', Server: 'mail.aapt.net.au', Protocol: SMTP, Server
Response: '554 5.7.1 <C-61-68-210-138.bri.connect.net.au[61.68.210.138]>:
Client host rejected: (SPM:RAD) User account blocked from sending email due
to policy violation - Please contact support', Port: 25, Secure(SSL): No,
Server Error: 554, Error Number: 0x800CCC79

Any help would be very much appreciated

Thx

I'm having the same issue. I wonder if it has to do with microsoft updates
that I just installed this afternoon. I hope MS is seeing this. I might try
rolling back one or more of the updates.

Seems like the error message is quite obvious:
"User account blocked from sending email due to policy violation -
Please contact support".
There is nothing wrong with your Windows Mail. Your provider
(AAPT) is blocking your send access. Contact them.

Don't assume that your issue is identical to someone else's.
Do you get an error message when you try to send or receive? If so,
right-click on your error message, copy, then paste it into a reply here.
We can't do much troubleshooting without the complete error message.

"Unexpectedly terminated" is usually caused by interference from an
antivirus program. Which antivirus are you running?
As a minimum, email scanning in the antivirus should be turned off,
although that may not be sufficient to eliminate all bad effects.
In a worst case scenario, your antivirus may need to be uninstalled.

Email scanning in any antivirus should be disabled, for reasons
explained here:
http://thundercloud.net/infoave/tutorials/email-scanning/index.htm

If no improvement after disabling email scanning, consider upgrading
to Windows Live Mail, because it is less prone to suffering bad effects
from overly intrusive antivirus programs:
