cant send emails (from hotmail account via outlook), why?

i am using outlook express 5.02 on my powermac, with os 9.1. i can get my
messages from my three hotmail accounts but i can not send any emails, why
is this? wht do i need to do in order to send emails not from hotmail.com
but from outlook express?

This is a group to support Outlook from the Office group of programs.
Outlook Express is a part of Internet Explorer and is a quite different
program, despite its similar name..

Try microsoft.public.internet.outlookexpress.mac

If this groups isn't carried on the news server that's carrying this group
try using msnews.microsoft.com (MS's public news server that's the source
for all the microsoft.public newsgroups).
