If this is a free Yahoo account it will not work in Windows Mail, because
Yahoo only allow POP access to Plus paid for accounts.

You can continue to use Yahoo as a webmail only.

Get a free Hotmail, Live or Gmail account all of which have POP3 access in
Windows Mail.

That message would appear because there's no server with that name. You
can't just make these names up; it doesn't work that way.

If you have a free US Yahoo account, it can't be used with Windows Mail or
other POP clients as Yahoo doesn't offer POP service on those accounts.

If you have the plus account, the server name is different and you can find
that where you signed up and paid for the service.
