Can't see tracked changes

I have a document sent to me by a co-worker. There are color coded tracked
changes, but I can't see them when I open them on my computer. I had another
co-worker try opening it on her computer. She couldn't see them either, but
two other co-workers could. I have no idea how to make the changes visible.
I've tried either suggested in the "help" menu from changing the security tab
settings so that the markup/hidden changes are viewable to changing the
"markup" view, etc.

Does anyone have any other suggestions or ideas as to why this is happening.
It's not the first time either. I've had occasions in the past where I'd
post a document to our internal server and I couldn't see any tracked
changes, but others could. Help!!!

What view are you using, and what version of Word? If this is Word 2002 or
later and you are in Print Layout view, you should (by default) see some
changes (insertions) marked in the text and some (deletions) in "balloons"
in the margin, assuming you are in Final Showing Markup view. In Normal
view, you should (by default) see insertions underlined and deletions struck
through.

In earlier versions, you'll get the underlining and strikethrough in any
view (when you are showing markup). Note, however, that the formatting of
insertions and deletions is specific to your computer, so the way anyone
else sees the document is irrelevant. Go to Tools | Options | Track Changes
and see what formatting is selected for insertions and deletions on *your*
machine. Note that the colors you see may not be the same as anyone else's.
