Can't see the advanced button when importing??

Hi

I have been using access for more than five years and have just started work
at a new client. They are using Access 2003 and when i do an import and want
to create an import spec i don't get the advanced button.

When i do the export i can see the advanced button so therefore can create
an export specification, but no advanced button on the import wizard.

You don't get advanced options unless you importing a text file. perhaps you
not importing a text file? (a long shot guess on my part).

I mean if the wizard is starting up correctly and you are able to import,
then my best guess here is that you not actually importing a text file. Try
a different file with the file extension as .txt
