Can't see sub folders I have in Main folder

Ok Maybe I'm duh, but I can't find the sub folders I have in my main folder
for pics. They show when im in a chat program when I need to change them but
to go and view them on comp the folders wont even show within the main folder
...helppppppp

In the Start Menu's Start Search box, type:

shell:my pictures

Press Enter. What is the path (address) of the folder that pop's up? Do
you see your folders?
