Can't see jpeg, jpg and gifs

Suzy

Problem Description: Since last night, everytime I try to
open an attachment in Outlook (a jpg, jpeg or gif), it
opens up the viewer window and it says NO PREVIEW
AVAILABLE.

I haven't changed any settings, done anything different
so I don't know what's going on. The only thing different
about my machine is the Windows update that installed
itself yesterday...

Please help, the only way I can view this is for me to do
a Save As and open it up by double clicking on it in
Windows Explorer.

Operating system / version: Microsoft Windows XP Home
Edition - 5.1.2600
Computer manufacturer and model: Dell Computer
Corporation, Dimension 4550
Processor model and speed: I586IV, 2524 MHz
Memory (RAM): 523.268 MB

Do the pictures show when you save them first to disk and open them from
there?

Yes they do. I have to right click, save as (let's say
say to desktop) and then go to the desktop and click on
them and they open just fine.

Thanks a bunch for answering!

Empty your Temporary Internet Files and try again. It this doesn't help
rightclick a jpeg picture and choose Open With... and select a program of
your choice. Then select the option to always use this program for these
types of files.
