Can't see files in FP 2002

If I am working on the site and want to insert a hyperlink, the folder box is empty so it's impossible to create a hyperlink to a file

These are upgrade files (.exe). I can open the site in FP 2000 and add the hyperlink without any problem.

Here's a link to the page illustrating the problem. Any help would be really appreciated

Try this fix.

Close FrontPage and then run regedit and go here:
HKEY_CURRENT_USER\Software\Microsoft\FrontPage\Explorer\FrontPage
Explorer\Settings
and remove the data that shows for FolderDetailColumns and FilesDetailColumns
by right clicking each entry, selecting modify and then clearing the data and
clicking ok.
Close regedit and reopen FrontPage.

You might try putting them up as .zip files.

Did what you suggested and still get the same result.

It's strange that I can do everything else I want but if I want to do a hyperlink, I can create the text in 2002, but have to go to a machine with FP 2000 to actually create the hyperlink

With the web open in FP 2002 run recalculate hyperlinks.

If no luck run Detect and Repair from the FP 2002 Help menu.

About the only other thing I can think of is to shut down FrontPage and then
find and delete all files named *.web and *.tmp

Then clear the browser history and temporary internet files.

Then reopen FrontPage and see what happens.

Thanks for your help. I think it must have something to do with FP Extensions. We have 5 different sites on 3 hosts, so I moved a folder over from my problem site to a site on another host and had no problem creating hyperlinks on that site. So it about has to be a site setup problem. Again, I appreciate your help

do you have the Web open or just the Page?

Are you working on the live site (web server) or local site (your computer)

You say you can open in FP2000 and add links - why not do it?

Do you mean you have a web-interface to add links, as in a database or something
with a web admin that you add links with?
