Can't 'see' cloned bootable drive

I have tried every resource I know of and can't solve a problem: I
have a Dell Latitude notebook running A23 BIOS (the latest supplied by
DELL). I use Windows XP Pro, have a 1GHz processor with 512MB RAM. I
recently bought two 80GB Toshiba drives (I was running out of space
with my 40GB drives). One of the new drives is my primary drive. It
has two partitions on it: One is about 70GB in size and the other is
about 10GB in size. Both are bootable with the same version of
Windows XP Pro. I use Ghost 2003 (no longer supported by Symantec) to
clone my primary drive (to the other 80GB drive) about once a week in
case something goes wrong with my primary drive. The cloning
procedure seems to go fine - and, when that drive is in it's bay, I
can open both partitions and see the files there. The problem is:
When I substitute my cloned drive for my Primary drive and try to
boot, I get a message (during boot) which asks for a password. I have
no idea why it is asking for anything. I thought a clone was an exact
duplicate of the original. If you need to know exactly what the
cloned drive is asking for when I try to boot from it, I will boot and
copy down all the information. I'm sure the answer is simple but it
eludes me. I hope you can help because I have a problem with my
Primary drive and need to revert to the cloned drive. Thank you in
advance.........

PS: I also have complete backups of both my Primary and Utility
drives which are up to date. The only thing is: the backups are made
with my Primary drive with which I am having the problem.

Better to use Imaging for this type of recovery, Cloning presents issues
with Drive letter & Partition # assignments in Boot. Ini. As to passwords
Ghost has a provision to install a password - Did you check default
options in Ghost when creating the "Clone" ?

It would be useful if you told us where exactly this password
challenge appears and what it looks like.

Didn't know there were Options to check - so I guess I didn't check
any. Is there any way to make this clone bootable?

Try leaving that Password field absolutely blank.
