can't search in My Yahoo

D

Dan

Recently, I have found that if I go to My Yahoo using IE
6.0 and try to search for something, anything, I get "The
page cannot be displayed." If I go to My Yahoo using
Netscape 7.1 and try to search, it appears as though it
is searching on the word "my" because the status bar in
the lower left says something like "Resolving host: my"
and then puts a search result page where results are for
the word "my."

I have researched this on the web and found similar
issues and thought it might be virus related. But I have
scanned for viruses and found only one and it was
cleaned. I use Windows XP Professional, IE 6, and
Netscape 7.1.

Thanks.

First eliminate any scumware.

Note that AdAware and SpyBot S & D will each catch some things the other
won't. Also, each needs to be updated before every use, even when just
downloaded. There's also a lot more to do than just those two programs.

If trying everything at that site does not fix the problem please post back
