Can't save webpage

Hi Fred :) :
Hi,

Whenever I try to save the webpage

http://securityresponse.symantec.com/avcenter/venc/data/backdoor.subwoofer.html
I am told that "The Web page could not be saved to the selected
location". This is independent of where I try to save to. Does
anyone else find this?

Try the following and see if it helps.

Problems downloading

If still no joy, then it's possible you have some scumware on your system
that may be causing the problem. Try the following and see if it helps.

Download and install, then you *MUST* update the programs prior to running
to be sure they have the latest definitions, then run the programs below.
They are free and very effective. Be sure to run both SpyBot and Adaware,
as what one does not detect the other may. It is important that you do all
the steps and follow all directions carefully

CWShredder: Free

SpyBot Search & Destroy: Free

IMPORTANT:
Before trying to remove spyware using the programs below, download a copy of
LSPFIX from the URL below - some malware may kill your internet connection
when it is removed, this program will enable you to regain your connection.

AdAware: Free

Hope this helps.

Jan :)

No trouble at all with that page, Fred. On XPsp2RC2.

On XPsp1 on other pages I once had problems with Save As, Web Archive
(*.mht). In that case what I found I could do was use File Send
Page by E-mail and then use OE to save the file as .mht.

I already run Kerio personal firewall (pretty restrictively), NortonAV,
Spybot, and Lavasoft. I keep them pretty up to date. The problem isn't
one of download a file. The file is already downloaded, since I'm viewing
with with MS-IE. It is saving the file. I actually got around it by
printing the viewed web page. Thanks anyway!

Thanks, Robert. I got around the problem by printing the webpage to a file.
