I occasionally have attempted to save a Webpage and after watching the
system go back to the well for files that I know are already on the system,
have gotten a "The Web page can't be saved to this location" or some such.
Sometimes, I can do a refresh and the page will save, implying it timed out,
but not often. Also, more often than not, I can extract them from the
cache. And most of those I have trouble with are Microsoft Web pages.
I have two questions:
1. What is happening that won't let a save happen?
2. Why does IE go back to the Web site for items already visible in the
cache?
This has been bugging me since the installation of IE6. Anybody have any
ideas?
TIA
