can't save into sent items

Greg Sebire

Have been using Windows Mail on Vista for a week and have had many problems.
Latest one which has just occurred is that none of my sent emails are being
saved into the "Sent Items" folder.

Another probelm is that unless I have already sent a recipient an email WM
will not autocomplete their names when I begin typing their address into
address box.
Any fixes?

While viewing the Sent Items Folder, View>Current View, ensure Show all
Messages, is reelected.

Auto-Complete of addresses works that way, use the click on To: to add
recipients rather than relying on auto-fill.

The "fix" is to use the newer Windows Live Mail.
The auto-complete and many other features work much better.

I too am having the same problem and I have already checked to see if
the proper items were checked under Tools, Send and they are. My
problem is slightly different in that it does save messages that I
create, but it will not save messages to which I reply or forward.

It's not supposed to save the messages you replied to or forwarded
into Sent Items, only the replies and perhaps theoutgoing forwarded
messages.
