can't right click or highlight text

I have a PC that is running Vista Business and Office 2007 Small Business.
Everything works fine except for word. I can't highlight any text or right
click within a document. Also when I go to Word Options I can not change the
category, I can change the options on the Popular tab but I can not switch to
any other tab. I figured something is corrupted so I uninstalled office and
reinstalled it. The problem is still there. Any ideas of why this is
happening or how to fix it. I assume there are some files that do not get
deleted when office uninstalls. Any idea how I can remove everything to do
with office so I can reinstall it cleanly? Any help is greatly appreciated.

You might try asking in the office.setup newsgroup.

Hi Kevin,

There are apparently some Word Add-ins that will cause this in Word 2007. FlashPaper and Laserfiche are two that have been
mentioned.
If you have either of those, see if disabling them changes the mouse behavior in Word 2007.
