Can't reinstall XP pro after uninstalling SP2

After downloading SP2 and encountering unsolvable networking/internet access
problems - using all info from MS and Dell - I uninstalled SP2 and regained
internet access but lost printing and ability to install priters. Tried to
reload OEM XP (SP1) but get a blue stop screen -BAD_POOL_CALLER
Stop:0x000000C2 (0x00000007,0x00340045,0xE212049C) Can't get out of setup.
Even restarting in safe mode takes me back to XP setup. ?
