Can't Register Using AVG-Free 7.3

I recently downloaded and installed the AVG-Free 7.3
anti-virus program. When I try to register for Online
Services and the User Forum, I keep getting an error message
telling me there's an error, but not what the error is.
It's a simple form just asking for your email address and a
Forum user name.

Has anyone else experienced this or have any idea what the
problem might be?

you only need to register the paid version
the free version requires no registration nor would it be needed as there is
no support on it

I know that. I'm trying to register for the AVG Free Forum.
They won't let you participate in the Forum dialog until
you register and I can't ask them for help registering,
because I can't get on the Forum (catch-22). :-(

Yes, I'm trying to. But, the only Registration instructions
the Forum page provides is a link to download an AVG Free
installation file and to register through the AVG product's
Information menu which links to a Registration web page back
at their web site. Where attempts to Register fail. :-(

Please include all of the previous message in your replies to the newsgroup.
I don't know if you've tried doing it the right way:

"To register for the AVG Free Forum and other On-line Services, please go to
the Information menu in your installed AVG Free and select Register Online.
If you are not using AVG Free, please download and install AVG Free Edition
and then go to the Information menu and select Register Online."

FWIW, I've registered and have never been able to log in.

That's exactly what I did (on several occasions). But, the
online attempt to Register always returned a message telling
me there's an error without indicating what the error was.
FWIW, I've registered and have never been able to log in.

What happened when you tried to log in and how long ago was
it?

Out of frustration for not being able to register and having
no way of contacting anyone at AVG or their Forum for help,
I did a search on their web site for "Webmaster" and found
an email link in one of their site articles. I sent the
Webmaster an email on Feb.26 (about 5 days ago) explaining
the dilemma. I haven't gotten a reply, but yesterday when I
made another attempt at Registering, it worked.

I suspect that their web site had a bug in it and the
Webmaster fixed it without responding to my email. Anyway,
if you're still interested in Registering, it works now,
so give it another shot.
