Can't receive messages on MSN messenger

Hopefully Jonathan can help me with my issue. For about 5 days I am signed
on to MSN messenger but contacts cannot message me. However, some of my
contacts can chat with each other but they can't message me. I am using
vers. 7.5 Build (7.5.0311). When they email me that they can't message, I
can send them a message and we can then chat but if we stop chatting, same
thing happens again. I have done a virus scan, ad-aware and spybot search
and destroy scans and all is ok. When a contact first messages me, I get a
warning from Norton worm protection that they blocked an intruder and I
usually receive 3 of these notifications. I hope you can help me with this
issue or point me in the right direction where to download this version of
messenger. Thank you

Greetings,

Which Norton products do you have installed? As a test, could you try using Windows
Messenger instead (click Start, then Run, enter "msmsgs" and click OK).

Hi Jonathan:

I'm using Norton's Systemworks 2006. I have corrected my msn messenger
problem by going to your resource website and downloading the newest build
for vers. 7.5 However, I'm still receiving the worm intrustion alert when
one friend messages me. They have assured me they have done sypot, ad-aware
and virus scans (Norton Systemworks 2005) and their computer appears clean.

Also one more question ... I have heard from a couple people who have
downloaded the newest msn messenger that their personal emoticons weren't
available. Hopefully this isn't true cuz I do enjoy my personal ones. Can
you enlighten me about this?

Many thnx Crys0
