Can't publish...Server can't find page

Andy Asberry

Just when I'm feeling smug, it reaches up and chokes me!
www.u-s-s-a.org FP 2002 XP Pro

I made some minor changes to three pages. The new image is in the
image file. All the other pages updated except the index. All I
changed on it was the "last update" date.

When it gets to the "processing web updates" I get the error message
"server can't find page"

Details say to make sure FP extensions and MS Share point are loaded.

On the publish list, the changed pages are still showing to publish. I
turned them off and the index still will not load.

After any failed publish event you could have corrupt FP META data
1) In Windows Explorer Find and delete all FP Temp Files
Usually in your IE Temp folder, C:\WINDOWS\Temp and
C:\Documents and Settings\<USER>\Local Settings\Temp
2) In Windows Explorer Find and delete all hidden *.web files
Usually in C:\Documents and Settings\<USER>\Application Data\Microsoft\Web Server Extensions\Cache
3) Open FP and you local site and run a Tools Recalculate Hyperlinks and try to republish changed pages (remove any do no publish
changes from the index file)

PS
In a pinch, you could also, while the local site is open in FP, also open the remote site in FP and carefully Copy / Paste from one
site to the other

The web cache files (*.web) are known system files
- probably turned off in the Windows Explorer settings
If you have opened a FP web you have them
In Windows Explorer address bar enter
%userprofile%\Application Data\Microsoft\Web Server Extensions\Cache

Found them! Deleted them. No change.

Interland, my host, has reinstalled FP extensions. No change.

I opened the site live and the pages had been updated. They are just
not marked updated on my end. Suggestions?

Thanks.
