Have xp pro sp2 that was working fine. have virus, spyware removers, firewall
installed and all updated and working. scanned computer found nothing. I can
access internet. installed visualroute 2005 to try it out and it will not
work. says none of the nodes are responding so i tried a ping outside of our
network and it will not ping. says it timed out. i can ping inside of
network. IT that controls internet connection says nothing should be
preventing the ping command from working. anyone have any ideas?
Thanks

do you have a firewall (hardware or software) that could be blocking?

I have a software firewall, ZoneAlarm, installed but have checked with
visualroute people and they say I have it configured correctly and our IT man
for the internet says the firewall for internet is not stopping it. I have
also uninstalled ZoneAlarm and tried it but still does not work.
